Visit a Bee Farm

2016: I went to the a farm located in Ayer Keroh, Melaka. There was no entrance fee. They showcased approximately 250 specimens of bee hives and hornet nests. Mounted on the walls were pictorial and written information about bee keeping, bee species, bee habitat, and traditional tools for harvesting honey.

A bunch of school kids were having a field trip there, so I joined in when they were being given a little tour around the place.

The best part was of course the free honey buffet to promote the products they were selling. There were several types of honey--some mixed with royal jelly, propolis, and venom--each one having a different set of health benefits. You can taste them all and see which you like best. But there's only so much sweetness you can take at any one time, right? I only had two tiny cups. The school kids, however, seemed to have a jolly good time refilling theirs over and over. :-D
