Drink Singapore Sling in Singapore

The Singapore Sling is a gin-based cocktail, developed some time before 1915 by a Hainanese bartender working in the Long Bar in Raffles Hotel, Singapore. [Wikipedia]

Ingredients

Gin
Cherry liqueur
Cointreau
DOM Benedictine
Grenadine
Angostura bitters
Pineapple juice
Lime juice

To get an authentic Singapore Sling, of course your best bet would be to go to the Long Bar itself, although it might be pricier. Otherwise, you can get it at almost any bar in Singapore. There might be some variation in the ingredients used though. The one I had was at Clarke Quay. It was too sweet for my liking. Am not a cocktail person.
